Space Cadets in association with the Ulster Museum
First commissioned by the Storey Gallery, Lancaster, Space Pups is a unique installation of inflatable dogs suspended in the air above reach. Every two minutes they inflate and deflate, bringing the visitor into a calm understanding of the cycle of birth, death and rebirth within nature.
For children, these large suspended pieces are captivating, attractive to watch and imbuing both a sense of calm and novelty – watching the pups come to life overhead.
Creators of Space Pups, Space Cadets have been working nationally and internationally for over 10 years, using inflatable design to transform spaces in exciting, animated and colourful environments.
Young at Art says:
We are delighted to host this installation in its first visit to this island and are particularly thrilled to work with the Museum to make it possible.
